1 February 2024.
Women On the Move Against Cancer (WOMAC) is delighted to confirm its annual fundraiser will be held on Wednesday 17 April at a pre-eminent venue in London’s West End, which will be revealed to guests once they purchase their ticket due to its exclusivity.
WOMAC’s annual party is an opportunity to gather friends and colleagues, enjoy some tasty treats and drinks while supporting two fantastic causes - Oesophageal Patients Association (OPA) and Cure Leukaemia - which have been nominated by Committee members or Patrons thanks to the support they have provided to loved ones during a cancer diagnosis and treatment.
The night will feature WOMAC’s infamous tombola filled with goodies from branded water bottles and notepads to skincare products.
In addition will be a raffle which in the past has included car loans, weekends away and tickets to a variety of automotive events.
All these items are kindly donated by friends of WOMAC and the team would welcome donations this year whether that be items or experiences, please contact Georgia Fox, georgia@simsimages.co.uk.
Proceeds from the event will be donated to WOMAC’s two 2024 charities - OPA and Cure Leukaemia.
OPA has led the fight against oesophageal and gastric cancers for more than 30 years supporting patients, families and carers while also raising awareness of these cancers and their prevention.
Cure Leukaemia was established in 2003 with the mission to allow patients with blood cancer in the Birmingham region to access new treatments.
Since then, the charity has expanded to a national level offering potentially life-saving treatments to patients across the UK.
Georgia Fox, Chair of WOMAC, said: “The annual WOMAC party always proves to be so popular and thanks to the generosity of those attending raises such a large amount for our nominated charities that do so much to support those going through the toughest time of their life - dealing with a cancer diagnosis.
I can’t wait to see everyone in a few short months and be able to support our two incredible 2024 causes - OPA and Cure Leukaemia.”
