Automotive’s Women On the Move Against Cancer (WOMAC) campaigners have a new chair in Nicola Humphreys, the Managing Director of Imprimatur Group and Coding Ketchup Limited.
Nicola was announced as chair at last month’s WOMAC fundraiser, which made over £17,000 for cancer causes.
The WOMAC team is now embarking on an experimental year of fundraising, to identify the blend of in-person and online events and initiatives which best support its causes.“As WOMAC comprises volunteers who all work in automotive, we understand the current cost challenges and how trying different approaches will help to overcome them,” said Nicola. “Giving our time to WOMAC, and winning support and financial contributions from vehicle manufacturers and their suppliers, all reflect significant commitments.
It’s right for WOMAC to check that its plan works for the industry we represent, which is what I will be concentrating on first.”While the WOMAC committee and Patrons are all-female, the group also includes men as Friends and its activities attract both genders in equal numbers. In total WOMAC has raised over £1,000,000 for cancer charities in its 45 years.
This year the fundraiser supported Bright Cancer Care and Skcin. The new WOMAC committee is listed below.
Feel free to contact them if you, your employer or any other organisation would like to find out more about WOMAC and collaboration opportunities.
The committee is particularly interested to understand the selection criteria and process governing charity partnerships with automotive companies.
