Tickets on sale now for women on the move against cancer's 2022 party

6 July 2022.

Tickets for Women On the Move Against Cancer’s (WOMAC) 2022 party - which will be held on Thursday 8 September at the House of Lords - are now on sale here.

2022 marks the return of WOMAC’s annual fundraiser following a one-year break due to the pandemic, and this year is set to be bigger and better than ever at one of London’s most iconic venues.

Throughout the evening, guests will be able to enjoy a selection of food and drink as well as a long overdue catch up with friends and colleagues while supporting two incredibly worthy causes - Maggie’s and Roy Castle Lung Cancer Foundation - both of which provide care and support for those going through a cancer diagnosis.

WOMAC’s infamous tombola and raffle will be back on the night and there is already an array of prizes up for grabs including a plethora of branded merchandise, a variety of car loans, British Touring Car Championship tickets and even a holiday, all of which have been kindly donated by WOMAC supporters.

There is still time to make your prize donations, but for physical items the deadline is 24 August as everything being bought into the venue requires checking for security reasons.

If you are able to donate items or experiences - big or small - please contact Georgia Fox on +44 7973 915199 or georgia@simsimages.co.uk.

The 2020 party held at the Freemasons’ Hall raised an incredible £15,000 for Dimbleby Cancer Care and an additional donation of £2,500 to Princess Alice Hospice in memory of Neil McIntee.

This year WOMAC hopes to raise even more to meet its target donation of £7,500 to each charity.

Each has already received £1,000 thanks to the efforts of the WOMAC community.

As the party gets closer, there is a positive amount in the pot already, boosted by activities throughout #WOMACWeeks held at the beginning of June, which has so far raised more than £2,000.

We were unable to have our annual fundraising party in 2021, but with the help of the WOMAC community we donated £17,371 to brainstrust and an additional £1,000 to The George Fox Appeal.

Georgia Fox, Chair of WOMAC, said: “Our 2022 party is not far away now and I’m delighted tickets are on sale for what is shaping up to be a fantastic evening at an incredible location.

I can’t wait to see our supporters and meet some new faces from our growing roster of Patrons.”

Tickets are limited and priced at £60 including food and drink throughout the evening.

You’ll find our centres alongside NHS hospitals and we can also support you online.

About Roy Castle Lung Cancer FoundationRoy Castle Lung Cancer Foundation is the only UK lung cancer charity dedicated to helping everyone affected by the disease.

Since 1990, when the charity was set up by Professor Ray Donnelly, we have funded millions of pounds of essential lung cancer research, looking for ways to detect the disease as early as possible and save lives.

We support everyone affected by lung cancer - from diagnosis, through treatment, living with the disease and end of life care.

We raise awareness, prevent future generations from getting it and challenge the misconceptions of lung cancer.

We do all this so those diagnosed can live well with lung cancer for as long as possible.
